Permit Types We Handle

Different scopes of work fall under different permits, and many projects need several at once. These are the categories we file most often across California jurisdictions.

Building Permits

New construction, additions, structural alterations, foundation work and re-roofs — the core permit most projects are built around, and usually the one driving the schedule.

Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical

Panel upgrades, rewiring, service changes, repiping, water heaters, sewer work, HVAC replacement and ductwork. Often filed alongside a building permit, sometimes on their own.

ADUs & Conversions

Accessory dwelling units, junior ADUs and garage conversions. California's ADU rules have changed repeatedly in recent years and local implementation still varies, so these benefit from close attention to the current standards.

Demolition, Grading & Site Work

Demolition, grading, retaining walls, driveway approaches and other site permits — typically the work that has to be permitted before the main build can begin.
